Emma 3 months

And before we knew it, she is three months old! Time is just flying by. I feel like I was just wondering what this little girl was going to look like and what her personality would be. Now that she is here I feel like she has always been here. Its a weird feeling but I couldn't imagine our family without her. She is growing beautifully. She is only waking up once in the night and I am usually greeted with a smile. She is very laid back, easy going girl. Her big sister is crazy about her. It was a little rough the first few weeks but now big sister always wants to "talk" to her and give her kisses and hugs. I am enjoying these moments before they get older and are constantly fighting over something. Sweet Emma is working hard on rolling over, tummy time, and smiling.

Emma Rose

She is here!! Emma Rose Conwell
Born Tuesday January 29th, 2013 at 4pm
weighing 8lbs 0 oz.
(Sorry it has taken me 8 weeks to finally put it on here)
The day Emma was born was a very relaxed and calm day. Our room was quiet and Jason and I were able to enjoy each other a lone before she arrived. It felt so surreal to be back in the hospital having baby. It just felt like yesterday when we were there having Becca. I was able to get in a nap and then before we knew it she was ready to come and join the world. The minute I laid eyes on her I was head over heels. She came into this world easy and is an easy baby. Or maybe its because this is my second time? either way, we couldn't be more happy that she is here now. Our family is complete.
Welcome sweet girl, we love you oh so very much.

She's 2

Becca had her second birthday yesterday! I cannot believe how fast time has gone by. You always hear the saying that as you get older and especially when you have kids that time really flies. I really hate it. I feel like if I could grab it and slow it down I would. I remember her first birthday so vividly that it blows my mind that she is turning two. We celebrated Saturday with a combined birthday party. Our close friend's son is just a few days older so we thought "what the heck, lets just do it together". It was a blast! We really have some wonderful friends and family. I cannot wait to see how this next year unfolds for her. She has about 5 1/2 months left of being the only child. I know she is going to be an amazing big sister and cannot wait to see how she takes on that role. I think a part of me is trying to grasp onto these last few moments of it just being her. It makes me sad a little bit but then also excited at the same time.
Love you baby girl!

Surprise!

The Conwell's are excited to announce...
Baby Conwell #2 due February 1, 2013!!!

I had my 1st trimester screening today and everything turned out wonderful. Baby is healthy and very happy in Mommy's tummy.
It made it so real to see the baby bouncing around and sucking his/her thumb.
I feels just like yesterday that we were looking at Becca's sonograms.
We are so thrilled for Becca to be a big sister and are so curious how this child will look and act.
I have another appointment next week for just a normal check up. Cannot wait to hear that precious heart beat again.

catching up

Sorry my posts have become further and further apart. We hope everyone is doing well.

Life is keeping The Conwell's busy. Recently, Jason went out of town. I was so nervous about him leaving and wondering if I could handle everything while he was gone. He did a great job of reassuring me that everything would be fine and that he would be back before I even knew it. Well, while after dropping Jason off at the Airport I got lost on the way home. I was on the phone with him getting directions until it was time for him to "please turn off all electronic devices". Opps! Luckily after 20 minutes of getting lost I finally was on a road I recognized when I hear and smell sweet Becca in the back seat making a dirty diaper for me. We were on a major highway and the next exit wasn't for a while. I figured she would be okay until we got home. That is until I heard her start to whine and say "ew". I looked and saw Becca playing inside her dirty diaper and start to show me what was inside!! eventually I was able to stop off at a Publix where I could change her. It was everywhere!! All over her car seat, her shorts, her legs and even her flip-flops! I am sure people looked at me as an awful Mother when carring her in as if she had some disease. You know, with my arms straight out while she kicked her legs crying saying "Momma, Momma". After what seemed like forever to clean her up and back into the car with only a t-shirt and diaper on (becuase a prepared Mom would have had an extra outfit packed...duh!). I sit in the car and start laughing so hard. Not even an hour after Jason was gone did this all happen. I was asking God "seriously?". Anyways, I shot a picture and sent it to Jason to let him know he was missing all the fun!
Enjoy-
the girls really missed Jason. Waiting at the front door for Daddy.

Since he's been home (thank the Lord!). He has started demo on our master bathroom! I will take some pictures and keep you posted. I cannot wait till it is done. Its been almost 8 or 9 months since we've used our bathroom. Tile fell off the wall back in June and we've all been sharing one bathroom.

I've been doing some research online for Toddler beds and bedding. I've finally picked both, but don't know when to make the switch from crib to toddler bed. I feel like there is no rush, but I still like the idea of changing her room from baby to big girl.

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!
We hope your day is filled with love today. Becca "helped" me make valentines yesterday for the Grandparents and it was our first craft together that she actually participated in. She enjoyed it and so did I. I fought my perfectionist side of me and let her put the stickers anywhere she liked versus where I thought they should go and in the end I liked even better then how I would have made them. They were made with her special touch. Even though Jason will be at work today, I get to spend the day loving on her, what could be better then that?

( the picture on the left is of Becca last year (6months) and the picture is of Becca this year. What a difference!)

Baby girl in pearls!
